Sojourner comes in response to the change of season. The canvas holds space for all four times of the year. Can you pick who is who?
One leaps skyward, trusting herself to the open air; one a giver of light, a totem radiating directness and self-assurance; one releases, gently falling and letting go; and one reclines in repose, making time for restoration and renewal.
The seasons are so integral to our time here on earth, and as I sit and wonder, I see them beautifully rendered and reflected in the human experience also.
Times of recklessness and abandon - of hurdling toward the new. Times of bright light and confidence - of strength and sunshine. Times of letting go - of releasing or tumbling and falling. Times of wintering and retiring - of repairing and healing.
What a poignant, complementary and full way of cycling through life.
