There’s something very revealing about the humans we reach for most often - the people we are drawn toward, those that we feel lucky to have call us theirs - our tribe, our posse, our familiar.
When we stop to wonder on it all - how and why we choose them and they us, how we negotiate and navigate our aloneness and togetherness, how and when we partition and pull away or connect and combine, how we play and move and contend and mend. We learn so much about what we value and who we might become.
My just finished painting You, is about the ones we hold out for and flow forward with and stand by - the ones we squeeze just that bit tighter and always seem to linger a bit longer with. Our favourites.
